The updated version of our popular business / crypto wordPress theme, Blockchain is now available. This new version is based on our Ignition Framework and offers a modern flexible design along with great features. Let’s take a closer look at some of these features.
The Ignition Framework
A few words about the Ignition Framework first. It comes in a form of a separate plugin which carries all the necessary templates, custom post type code, scripts, third party plugin integration and any other functionality needed to make the site work. This allows the plugin to deal with just one thing, the site’s appearance. This separation makes the theme simpler, more lightweight and very easy to work with and customize due to the lack of clutter. As mentioned earlier, the plugin is shared among all framework based themes, this allows us to instantly push updates to all themes to fix bugs, improve compatibility with WordPress and third party plugins, patch security vulnerabilities and add new features.
And now let’s take a closer look at the theme.
Customization
With Blockchain’s built in Customizer options you can modify the theme’s layout, content width and column composition with just a few clicks. Furthermore you can create custom color schemes in no times by modifying colors globally or individually for key theme sections, such as the header, menu, footer and more. The theme’s typography can also be easily customized by applying to it your preferred font pairing among the hundreds Google Fonts available. You can also control the information shown on post listings and single posts, fine tune the appearance of the page title section and more to achieve the perfect layout for your business’ new website.
Cryptocurrency support
Blockchain offers integration with coinmarketcap. This allows you to easily display tables with the top cryptocurrencies using the built in shortcode or widget, display global cryptocoin market info or focus on one single cryptocurrency with the custom widgets built into the theme.
Flexible Header
Supplement your site’s header with an optional top bar along with the normal header section. Both sections offer predefined content areas which can display custom content such as plain text, HTML or any of the theme’s built in shortcodes like the language switcher, WooCommerce mini-cart, social menu and more. The header can be made sticky, transparent and all its colors can be easily modified. Furthermore the position of the logo and menu can be rearranged.

Ignition Framework based themes are built with performance in mind. To help minimize loading times all theme assets are served minified and packed. Additionally assets required for third party plugin integrations are only loaded when these plugins are installed and activated further improving loading times.
Built for the block editor
Blockchain utilizes the block editor to its full extent to help you build awesome content. Both the theme’s homepage and single posts are built using a combination of core blocks and custom ones provided by our free plugin, GutenBee. We tested the blocks extensively and added styling where necessary to make them match the theme’s appearance perfectly. Of course the theme is compatible with the most popular page builders out there, such as Elementor, Beaver Builder etc, so feel free to use them if you prefer to build things visually.
