Exciting new features of the Ignition Framework
We’re excited to bring you this post which discusses new features added to our Ignition Framework and some more coming very soon to all Ignition Framework based themes. New custom post type support, a more flexible footer, more options for Global sections, social sharing icons and more. Let’s take a closer look.
Podcast custom post type
With the release of our Podcasting theme Mozzy, a new custom post type was added to the ones supported by the Ignition Framework. At the moment the post type is only enabled on Mozzy by default, but it can be enabled on any Ignition Framework based theme.
Global Section replacements for Header, Footer & Sidebar
Global Sections are an ideal tool to use when needing to display the same content on multiple site locations in order to avoid code duplication. Global Sections have been updated with three new options which allow users to swap out (instead of add to) sections of the theme with others created either using the block editor or their favorite page builder. The feature is currently available on Mozzy and Neto and will be soon available on all Ignition Framework themes.
A more flexible widgetized area on the footer
Users can now select how many widgetized areas they need in the footer. There are currently three available options of 2, 3, or 4 widgetized areas of equal width.
Video background in the Page Title section
Users are will soon be able to add video backgrounds to the Page Title section on all themes making them more eyecatching.
New typography options
Typography options will be added for the theme’s buttons and main navigation allowing users to better tailor the theme’s typography.
Social sharing buttons
This feature brings social sharing buttons to single posts and WooCommerce products. The buttons allow visitors to easily share the content on popular social media or just copy the URL to share using other means. Social sharing buttons can be toggled to appear in certain post types, and unwanted options can be easily disabled.
